To Dr. Sydney Soares movement matters!

Dr. Sydney aims to support you on your journey to become your best self: mind and body. Her goal as a chiropractor is to empower you to get back to doing the things you love and keep you doing them. Sydney helps you to understand your injury/concern and will promote self-efficacy in a welcoming and judgment free environment. When you’re feeling stuck, Sydney’s focus is to educate you about your body and help you overcome adversity to achieve your goals.

Sydney attained her undergraduate degree at Trent University before pursuing her Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, graduating cum laude. Sydney played on the Trent Excalibur OUA women’s soccer team and dealt with her fair share of injuries and concussions through sport growing up. As a former competitive athlete Sydney can appreciate the sense of feeling less than your best, but knows the difference proactive health care can make.

Sydney practices patient-centered evidence-informed healthcare. She works together with her patients to create individualized treatment plans depending on their concern and preferences.

Sydney incorporates a variety of techniques including manual manipulation, mobilization, soft tissue therapy, acupuncture, exercise, taping, instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy, activity modification, stress management, sports-specific return to play and patient education to optimize her patient’s health, function, and well-being. Sydney is continually keeping her knowledge base up to date and has a wealth of experience in fitness, nutrition, and mental health.

It is highly important to Sydney that patients feel empowered to move and understand that their bodies are strong, adaptable, and resilient. After all, movement matters!

When not at the clinic you can find Sydney spending time with family (paws and hooves included), on the soccer pitch or the golf course and enjoying the outdoors!
